A trip to the State Park!

Oh my is it a BEAUTIFUL day here in Bourbonnais! The sun is shining and the weather is perfect. Joe and I decided to take the boys to the State Park to walk some trails. We haven't done this for a few years, and I have missed doing it. The only bad thing is right now the river is up because of all of the rain we had recently had. So we weren't able to take some of the better trails. We will have to plan another trip there again soon. I could spend the entire day there just snapping pictures of my boys! Joe and I even included ourselves in a couple. :) It was just the most perfect day to do this. I am hoping to get there a few more times before Joe has to start mowing, then he isn't home till dark. So we need to do as much together as a family before then. So I would like to add some pictures to share with you. It's ncie, we only live about 10-15 minutes from here.

I am going to MYRTLE BEACH!!

I am soooo excited! My sister in law has invited my mom, my daughter and myself to take a 5 day vacation with her and my nieces! I can not wait! A girls get-away, how fun! We will be leaving April 19th! It's a 15 hour drive for us, so we may have to stop half way and stay overnight somewhere, unless my 3.5 year old nieces cooperate and sleep through the night drive. hehe! I have NEVER been to a beach, NEVER! I am so looking forward to walking barefoot in the sand. I am ready to pack today! hehe! We will be staying in a 3 bedroom condo for the time we are there, which is nice cause it has a kitchen and laundry room. So we will not have to eat out all the time we are there, and we can cut back on some luggage. :)

Whatcha Working on Wednesday!

Ok, I wanted to join in on the fun that Lelsie has so gratiously shared with us! I have finally accomplished a couple of things this week. First I have some paper mache stars that I have painted, distressed and stained. I bought these at Hobby Lobby as ornies, and I just cut off the string. I got these for a BARGAIN! And they have been GREAT sellers for me in my booth at the Antique Mall. I painted these a cream color and used a antiquing gel stain over them. I love how they look in this bowl...guess I will be keeping this set to myself, hehe!






Then I made a new Spring/Easter pillow for my booth also. I like how my little egg turned out. I just stitched it on a muslin pillow and gave it a border. Whatcha think?

My Breadboard!

Good morning everyone! I know it has been awhile since I last blogged...I have been busy creating. Sorry! :) But I wanted to show you all my very first attempt at making a breadboard. It is not the best by any means, but I did it all by myself, hehe. I got a jigsaw for my birthday from my parents, what a lucjy girl I am huh? hehe! Most girls would want jewelry, flowers...and so on, but not this girl, hehe! So my father showed me how to use it, and this is what I made. I think it turned out kinda cool. I think I may just stain this one, but I want to make LOTS more and paint them all up and grubby them too. So as I get some more wood and create, I will let you see my finished projects. Plus I am waiting for it to warm up a bit so I do not have to wear gloves while out in the driveway. :) I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day!

My Booth!

Hello all! Hope everyone has had a great weekend. It was fairly nice here, so Joe started cleaning out the garage. It is looking pretty good! :) Lots more to do though still.

I just thought I would share with everyone pictures of my dad and mines booth at our local antique mall here. We just moved in to this bigger booth, my mom and I had fun painting it. We found a great deal on mistinted paint from Lowes and Walmart...5 bucks a gallon! Cool huh? Well here are just a few pictures to show off some of our things. :) Enjoy!

Hello everyone. I have been MIA again! Sorry, I have been a bit under the weather. But I am feeling much better now. But now Aidan has something. He has been running a fever since yesterday and then got sick once today. So he is off to the doctor tomorrow. I hope he feels better alot quicker than it took me.

So I hope all has been well. I have had so much fun looking at everyones blogs and seeing what they have all been up to. I LOVE seeing all of your creations and reading about your life experiences this week. I will be posting some new pics soon. My topper is a quick picture of the funny bunny that I just got finished. I used a pattern from Chestnut Junction...I love her stuff, and it is sooo easy to follow the directions.
